TALKS for Verizon Wireless, powered by Nuance, converts the displayed text on your wireless device into highly intelligible speech. The TALKS software has audio feedback for writing and reading text messages, emails and notes. Blind and low-vision users can take advantage of most features, including contact directories, caller ID announcement and hearing letters entered into a password field. Users can also control speech volume and rate of speech.
