Krista Bourne is the Region President of Verizon Wireless, the nation’s largest and most reliable wireless carrier, for the Carolinas and Tennessee region. In this role, Bourne leads the team responsible for delivering extraordinary customer service to residents in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee and growing the sales, marketing, operations and financial performance in the three-state region.
Bourne, a 15-year veteran of the wireless business, has held positions of increasing responsibility within Verizon including director - Customer Service in the Northeastern U.S., director - Customer Service for Verizon in the Southeast, and director -Retail Sales for Upstate New York. Most recently, Bourne was President of Verizon’s Houston/Gulf Coast region where she led sales, service, leadership development and business transformation efforts. She was an active member in her community and served on the Boards of the Houston Area Women’s Center and Houston Technology Center. Bourne continues her commitment to community service as a member of the board of directors for Safe Harbor, a domestic violence prevention and recovery organization based in Greenville, South Carolina.
Krista’s enthusiasm to serve customers, her eagerness to lead change and her natural ability to develop leaders has propelled her through the leadership ranks and helped the company navigate in a time when the industry and Verizon’s product offerings continue to evolve.
The Carolinas/Tennessee region of Verizon Wireless is the second largest region in the nation and is home to over 10,000 employees, 121 corporate retail stores, and seven customer care call centers. In 2014, Verizon invested over $497 million in network operations in the three-state region.
