Roger Tang is president of the South Area for Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless company in the United States, with responsibility for the company's operations in the Houston/Gulf Coast, Central Texas, Florida, Carolinas/Tennessee, Georgia/Alabama and South Central regions. A premier technology company, Verizon Wireless operates the nation's largest and most reliable 4G LTE network.
Tang's experience in the wireless industry spans more than 20 years, all with Verizon Wireless and its predecessor companies. Prior to his current role, he served as president of the Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region. He also served as regional vice president-Pittsburgh for Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1988 and executive director of store sales and operations for the company's Northeast Region. He entered the wireless communications industry in 1988 when he joined MetroMobile in Greenville, SC, which merged with Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1992. Tang held a number of finance and operations positions in the firm's Southeast Region before moving to the Northeast Region in 1996.
A graduate of State University of New York (SUNY) Potsdam, Tang holds a bachelor's degree in economics and received his MBA in Finance from Adelphi University.
