Suppliers should keep in mind that Verizon Wireless looks for the following qualities in its suppliers:

• Competitiveness and "value add" to business.
• Proven track record and references.
• Good financial standing.
• Quality processes (ISO 9000 or equivalent).
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for product purchases & payments.
• Core competency in supplier's line of business.
• Understanding of Verizon Wireless's Business.
• Ability to market company aggressively.
• Ability to provide multiple services and serve multiple customers.
• Certification, if registering as a M/W/DV BE.

Verizon Wireless accepts certification from state or federal agencies, Small Business Administration (SBA), Native American Business Alliance (NABA), US Pan Asian Chamber of Commerce (USPACC), Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC and affiliates) California Public Utilities Clearinghouse (CPUC) or Association for Service Disabled Veterans (ASDV). Suppliers are expected to meet internal customer's product and service requirements for technology, practices, quality, service and cost.
