What Is Data?

Data is what lets you access the web from a Smartphone, Tablet, USB Modem, Netbook, mobile hotspot or Verizon Jetpack™. It's what lets you send an email, or surf the web, or download music. With a Verizon data package, you get a chunk of data to use each month. Every time you connect to the Internet to do something, like send an email, you use a little bit of that data.

How Much Data Do You Need?

That depends on you. Things like streaming movies, downloading music and playing certain games use a lot of data. Sending a few emails and doing some light web browsing uses much less. We have data packages for both kinds of people – and everyone in-between, too. With a mobile hotspot, you can even share your data with up to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices. And with any package you choose, you can always connect to Wi-Fi without using your data allowance.

Mobile Broadband Connect–Use your smartphone or basic phone as a modem to get instant online access on your computer.
