Overall I was very impressed with the ruggedness of the Ravine 1 and now on my second Ravine 2. Unfortunately the software completely glitched out in the Ravine 1 after almost 2 years. I had high hopes for the Ravine 2, but am now on my replacement one, which still has software glitches that Casio has not corrected. It seems to disconnect from the Verizon network, changes the internal clock, which messes up the alarms and reminders. I have to reprogram the phone each time this occurs, which resets all the customized settings back to the default settings. Unfortunately an unreliable phone, from an extremely reliable company -- when it comes to watches.

This the 3rd casio rugged phone I have owned and it will be my last. Previous rugged phones were exactly that, rugged. This one however is garbage. Charger cover fell off, no longer rugged, headphone cover fell off, front screen went half blank. Terrible phone. I tried contacting Casio and their customer service runs you in circles...no answers or anyone to even talk to. I will not be giving anymore of my money to casio.

I have one of these Ravines as my business phone for work. It's probably the worst phone I've ever had. I'm on my third one. First one - screen shattered when I tossed across from the driver's seat to the passenger seat in my car...a foot or so onto a padded seat! Second one - inside screen went into a negative image before it stopped working altogether. Third one - my current one - the left side buttons, ALL the left side buttons stopped working. They only work if I put the phone in the refrigerator for a while. When it warms back up, they stop working. Battery life is mediocre. This phone isn't worth owning even if they paid you to take it.

My G'zOne is one year old. I use it at work everyday. I charge it every nite. I don't text or use e-mail, etc. Use it for phone calls. I have gotten it wet, in the rain, sweat, ,etc. The worse I have done is left it in my pants one day after cutting brush. I threw all my clothes in the front loading washer, and then tumbled dried them. I did not realize what I had done until I was hanging the pants up. I still can't believe the seals are still holding. That was a month ago now. If my phone makes it to 24 months, I will recommend it.

This is the worst phone I have ever seen and Casio will not stand behind their product so DO NOT give them your money. The charger door will fall off like mine and everyone I know that has had this piece of junk.Casio will then tell you that it voids the warranty because of moister damage, just a cop out.DO NOT but any casio phone. If they wont admit that their product has a problem then they should not get your money.

A few weeks ago, the screen goes blank making the phone inoperable. Unfortunately, I have 6 months to go on the 2 year contract and was told my option is to buy a Certified Pre-Owned Phone or buy a new basic phone at FULL retail price. Have been a Verizon customer since 2002 and this stinks! Thanks!

I purchased this phone for the reason of it was sealed and durable, well that might be true, however it is not worth even the cost of free, I have to go out into the middle of my front yard or back yard to use it, drops calls, all the time, clock does not display correct time, you have to take the battery out all the time to reset the clock, the alarm clock also will not ring, it has a mind of its own, I had verizon send a replacement, of the same type, had that for about a week, and its doing the same thing, called verizon, they are replacing it with a all together different phone, went on line and that phones reviews are worse then my old one, I have been with verizon for almost 16 years, started with a pager, and if this is how they treat long term customers, WELL I am rethinking the whole thing now

Got this phone as replacement for the gz boulder and used it for a little over a year. Was not happy with it most of the time and the camera was terrible. The inside screen went out and now I am using my 4 year old boulder until my upgrade date

Ive had a lot of so call rugged phones, and for once I finally got a rugged phone this is truly rugged and can with stand just about anything! Im extremely hard on my phones and this phone took a beating and kept on working! Easy to use, takes pretty good pictures, it can work in water and ice as well! Youtube showed all these tests and I like to know that its true, so I submerge this phone in a tub of water for 4 hours and then in a container of water into the freeze for 8 hours and while in ice I called this phone and it worked! If your hard on phones this is the perfect phone! Extremely rugged and holds up to its reputation!
