How To Activate Your Replacement Phone

1. Sign up for My Verizon

Sign Up for My Verizon

If you haven’t already done so, sign up for My Verizon. Once registered, you can easily activate your replacement phone using the device’s electronic serial number (ESN).

   

2. Save Personal Information From Your Original Device

If you have a BlackBerry® device or smartphone:
Synchronize your personal information from your original device to a computer so you can later transfer it onto your replacement device.

Get Support for Your Device

Backup Assistant

If you have a cell phone:
Use Backup AssistantSM to save your contacts, so you can transfer them to your replacement device.

If you have a Get It Now®/Media Center–capable device:
Use Backup Assistant to easily transfer your contact list from your original device to your replacement device.

5. Return Your Defective

Important: To avoid being charged up to full retail price for the replacement device, your defective device must be shipped back to Verizon Wireless within 10 days of receipt of your replacement device.**
