Auto-rerouting - If you made a wrong turn, it will get you back on the right track.
Web site - Features mapping and local searches, plus ways to send places to a Verizon Wireless subscriber, manage your favorites, and sync with your phone. In order to enable VZ Navigator to locate you for the first time,1 change the handset setting to Location On. Go to Settings & Tools > System or Phone Settings > Location. Toggle the switch from 911 ONLY to Location On, and press OK.
Local search by name or category - More than 14 million local businesses and attractions in the U.S., including hotels, golf courses, shopping centers, restaurants, hospitals, ATMs, and more.
Place Messaging - Allows you to share a location with another Verizon Wireless subscriber. Meeting friends for dinner? Search for the restaurant and then send the destination to your friends. With the latest version of VZ Navigator, they can get directions right on their phone.
How to Get VZ Navigator
1. Buy your VZ Navigator enabled phone
2. Wait for your phones to arrive (It usually takes 2-5 business days for your phone to be delivered.)
3. Download VZ Navigator to your phone (Get Download Instructions)
Subject to specific terms of use. Text Messaging fees may apply when using certain features. Only available in the National Enhanced Services Coverage Area. Always use caution when displaying your location to third parties. Do not attempt to enter or change information while driving. Accuracy and completeness of information is not guaranteed. Both pricing options are available through select handsets. Unless you subscribe to the V CAST VPak, V CAST Mobile TV Select, or Premium Calling Plans, downloading the VZ Navigator application will require approximately 2MB of data. Megabytes sent or received will be aggregated each month, rounded up to the next megabyte, and billed at $1.99/MB. Megabyte charges will not be incurred for using the application after download to the device. Application not available on all handsets.
