It’s time to get off the couch and out of the office, and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer. Instead of posting your average latte art on Instagram, take a hike (literally!) and see how Mother Nature, in her many forms, can breathe new life into your feed. Go on a journey with these five San Francisco Bay Area Instagram hotshots and learn how to explore the world around you, smartphone in hand.

#OnTheMove

Zak Shelhamer (@zakshelmamer) and Matt J. Komo (@mattjkomo) explore the ins and outs of San Francisco, capturing breathtaking, in-motion views along the way. Go for a ride through the forest with Zak, or out on the boat with Matt, and get in on a piece of the action.

Relive your adventures time and time again with the GoPro app, just like Zak and Matt. Control your camera remotely and gain instant access to the GoPro channel through your phone. Then share your favorite shots via email, text, Facebook, Twitter and more. It’s a great way to make others feel like they were with you along for the ride.

Mr. Mother Nature

Explore the gigantic redwoods and rushing waterfalls through the smartphone lens of Connor McSheffrey (@connor). In remote locations, it can be hard to quickly share memorable photos. However, with Verizon Wireless, the largest and most reliable 4G LTE network, you can willfully get lost in the woods and still connect with your friends and family.

Using the Dropbox app, Connor can upload, share and store all that nature has to offer, and so can you.

The Big Picture

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily rush of a city like San Francisco. Art Chang (@arGtchang) reminds us to take a step back – or, in this case, up – and admire our surroundings. Soaring above the sky, Art often captures and shares a bird’s-eye view that even the tallest skyscraper can’t provide.

Using Priime, an app offering hundreds of filters to choose from, Art inspires others to take a moment and enjoy the view from new heights.

Unusual Discoveries

Robby Durler (@robbydurler) really exemplifies the meaning of “hidden gem” by continuing to find the beauty in unusual spots you normally wouldn’t think twice about. Through his Instagram feed, Robby shares unique images of backroads in San Francisco, as well as abandoned buildings and alleys that are typically avoided by most.

Make vacations, special moments and even day-to-day activities, like passing by an old building, come alive with the VSCO Cam app, the premier way to shoot, edit and share your photographs on the go.

Whether you are deep in the redwoods, high up on the mountains or surrounded by water, a strong connection allows you to capture the memory and share it with friends. Inspire others as you capture, edit, share and save all of the adventures upon which you embark.
