Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Question?   Response
1.

What charges are included in my first bill?

Along with the first full month's access charge and any airtime charges, your first bill includes a one-time service-establishment fee, and a charge for prorated access, for the time period commencing with the date your service was activated through the bill date.

2.

Why aren't all my incoming calls listed by the phone number they were dialed from?

Verizon Wireless Cellular can display only incoming phone numbers that have not been concealed by a Caller ID blocking feature.

3.

When can I expect to receive my bills?

You'll receive your billing statement approximately 5 to 10 days after the bill date (which is printed on your billing statement).

4.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card?

Yes. If you are registered for on-line customer service, you can make a credit card payment via our web site at any time.

Otherwise, you may Contact Customer Service to arrange payment over the phone with a representative.

Verizon Wireless accepts MasterCard, VISA and American Express.

5.

Where on my billing statement is my mobile number listed?

Your mobile phone number is indicated in both the "Monthly Access" and "Airtime Usage" sections of your bill.

6.

How is my airtime billed?

You pay for the time used while making calls on the cellular network. You'll start using the network when you push the SEND button on your phone, and stop when your call disconnects--which happens a few seconds after you've pushed the END button.

Calls placed on your cellular phone are typically billed in full, one-minute increments, rounded up to the nearest minute, including all minutes in package airtime plans.

7.

Can other people make changes to my account or get information regarding my cellular service?

Verizon Wireless adheres to specific account verification procedures before making changes to or releasing information about a customer's account. For enhanced security, you may also establish a password on your account by contacting Customer Service.

8.

Am I charged for calls that reach a busy signal or are not answered?

Verizon Wireless Cellular does not charge for busy and no-answer calls.
