Keep the Conversation Going: Verizon Messages Lets You Text From Almost Anywhere
Unifying the ways you communicate with everyone in your network is no easy task. With Verizon Messages, things just got a whole lot easier.
If there’s a word that describes the future, it’s “connected.” Although we’re more accessible than ever, it’s important to make sure the tools we use to communicate are always in sync. That’s why Verizon continues to enhance Verizon Messages, a cloud-based, multi-device communication app that creates seamless messaging.
Picking up where its current Messages app leaves off, the latest update fully embraces connectivity. Verizon Messages works across the Verizon Wireless network and Wi-Fi, so you can stay in touch even outside of coverage areas, which is especially ideal for global travelers. And since Verizon Messages is cloud-based, all communications will be synced.
By signing in to your My Verizon account on your computer, you can send and receive text, photo and video messages via the Internet. Downloading the app allows you to move your conversations seamlessly to your Android™ or iOS device without skipping a beat. You can also download the desktop application for your home computer through My Verizon. Conversations can be started, finished and started again—whether you’re at home or out and about.
Verizon Messages also works the other way, allowing conversations started on your smartphone to pick up instantly on your tablet or computer. Using this app on multiple devices doesn’t mean communication confusion, though, because it uses your primary phone number to identify you. Everyone will recognize you no matter which device you use to send messages.
Enhanced messaging capabilities
Sharing media has never been this easy or this fun. Send a postcard, create a picture collage, or add captions and sketches to photos.
Group messaging is another helpful function. This option gives you the ability to involve more people in a single conversation and makes it easy to coordinate carpools for the kids’ soccer games. You’ve got the ability to change the settings so that responses come only to you, not the whole group, if you’ve initiated the group message.
Find what you’re looking for
Verizon Messages offers a handy Content Finder feature. Can’t remember who texted you a link to that new Mexican restaurant? Just tap the content icon at the top of your conversation list to view all messaging content (including items you’ve both sent and received), such as links and photos. You can find that taco joint faster than you can say “Caliente!”
Make it personal
With the ability to auto-reply, you can personalize your messages by adding a signature, your favorite quote or a short note. Customize backgrounds, bubble shapes, font sizes and styles, and notifications per conversation so you won’t have to worry about mixing up your text messages.
Verizon Messages is more than just another way to communicate with your friends, families and coworkers. It’s a way to stay connected, no matter where you are. Check out what else you can do with the Verizon Messages app.
