LAS VEGAS, NV and BASKING RIDGE, NJ — From CTIA WIRELESS 2009®, Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, today announced the Mobile Web Games and Apps Store another easy and fun way for customers to access the games and applications it offers. The new Mobile Web Games and Apps Store uses cool graphics and an easy-to-navigate menu to guide customers to the wide variety of titles and tools Verizon Wireless makes available on many of its handsets.
Customers with Get It Now®-capable phones are now able to click through to the hundreds of games and applications directly from Mobile Web. Both WAP and HTML handsets support this new experience, which lets customers preview, sample and order popular games, including "Tetris®" and "Guitar Hero® World Tour," as well as applications that include VZ NavigatorSM and Backup Assistant, quickly and simply.
The new Mobile Web Games and Apps Store also adds a keyword search, making it easier for customers to find games and applications they already know about or discover new ones with one or two clicks.
Unlimited Mobile Web usage is included with a $15.00 monthly V CAST VPak subscription, which also includes access to V CAST Video, V CAST Music and Media Center/Get It Now applications. Alternatively, customers can access Mobile Web for free with a Nationwide Plan but will incur usage charges of $1.99 per megabyte.
