LAPORTE, IN — DLI, a leading manufacturer of rugged tablet and in-vehicle computers today announced that the DLI 8400 Ultra-Mobile Rugged Tablet is now Verizon 3G Network Certified. The Verizon Wireless 3G network will provide DLI customers the ability to communicate and collaborate throughout the entire mobile enterprise.

Committed to providing best-in-class integrated wireless technologies, the DLI 8400 delivers mobile broadband connectivity via an embedded Sierra Wireless MC5727 radio. This wireless enhancement enables DLI 8400 users to leverage faster data transmission speeds, both upload and download, resulting in more efficient and reliable access to enterprise-critical information.

The DLI 8400 Ultra-Mobile Rugged Tablet was declared Verizon 3G Network Certified through Verizon Wireless’ Open Development program, which is designed to offer mobile device manufacturers the access and support necessary to engage in the mobile enterprise market.

Representing the best in small-format rugged mobile computing, the UMPC-style DLI 8400 combines multiple and concurrent wireless radio options including WiFi, WWAN, GPS, and Bluetooth along with field payment, dual color cameras and data capture features - all in a single portable unit.
