The VDC Conference provides mobile application developers with an update on Verizon Wireless’ overall strategy around the application ecosystem and the developer portal. In-depth sessions on mobile commerce, connected devices, application programming interfaces (APIs) and other network enablers and opportunities for developers in vertical markets were topics of discussion. Special sessions devoted to the company’s recently opened LTE Innovation Center in Waltham, Mass., and Application Innovation Center in San Francisco were also offered. Executives from Verizon Wireless and its partners addressed the marketing, merchandising and technical resources available to members of the VDC.
