BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless has completed the acquisition of a cellular communications system formerly operated by CFW Communications Company in Highland, Va., extending Verizon Wireless's national footprint into Western Virginia's historic Shenandoah Valley, as well as an area bisected by heavily-traveled Interstates 81 and 64.
The Highland system was operated under the CFW Intelos brand. The operation will now adopt the Verizon Wireless brand.
