Irvine, CA — Verizon Wireless is inviting Southern California consumers to "Take Five." Why settle for a home calling area that limits you to the Los Angeles area or San Diego county when you can have one that includes five states? The company has introduced a new series of Digital Plus calling plans that enable Southern California area customers to travel throughout five Southwestern states, and use their included anytime minutes to make and receive calls - free of roaming charges.

With Verizon Wireless new Digital Plus plans, wireless users can take their anytime minutes with them to conduct business in Phoenix, take a road trip to Las Vegas or vacation in Hawaii and use their included minutes for calls - all without roaming charges. Long distance charges only apply to calls to and from different local calling areas, for example: between Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

"We've found that most wireless users are regional roamers who frequently travel to nearby states and make numerous calls for everything from arranging meeting locations with friends and, or business associates, to confirming dinner reservations and flight schedules," said Regional President Mike Finley. "By eliminating roaming charges, our new Digital Plus plans provide a simple, affordable solution for Southern California consumers who wish to use their wireless phone throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii."
