(NYSE: BBY) and Verizon Wireless today announced that Verizon Wireless services will be offered at more than 350 Best Buy stores nationwide beginning in October. The agreement offers customers unparalleled choice in cellular phone service and mobile Internet access plans and is a complement to Best Buy's current national wireless two-way messaging and paging relationship with Verizon Wireless.
With this agreement, consumers can now come to Best Buy to compare rate plans, coverage, pricing and wireless Internet plans, making the wireless purchase decision easier and more convenient. The agreement includes Verizon Wireless' full array of wireless products and services including the company's recently announced Mobile Web service that combines access to Internet based information with the ability to personalize that information.

The agreement is especially significant to smaller markets where consumers commonly have very limited options for service. Verizon Wireless serves 96 of the top100 markets nationwide.
