IRVINE, CA — Verizon Wireless' newest kiosks open this Saturday, Oct. 7, at the HomeBase stores in Lancaster and North Hollywood and in HomeBase's new House 2 Home lifestyle concept store in Foothill Ranch. Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Verizon Wireless' kiosks offer the company's latest cellular phones and wireless voice, data and messaging services.

"In the past few months we've launched SingleRate (a national flat-rate calling plan), Mobile Web (wireless internet access), five-state home calling area plans, and reduced rates for roaming in the Baja and long distance service to Mexico," said Mike Finley, Southern California regional president, Verizon Wireless. "These days, reaching for a wireless phone to keep in touch is as necessary as having a lamp to light a room. It makes sense to offer simple, national, affordable wireless service where shoppers are making choices that suit the way they want to live."

Verizon Wireless kiosks are now at 27 HomeBase stores throughout Southern California, including Brea, Canoga Park, El Monte, Gardena, Glendora, Hawaiian Gardens, City of Industry, Inglewood, Irvine, Laguna Nigel, Lancaster, Long Beach, Montclair, Moreno Valley, Norco, North Hollywood, Norwalk, Oxnard, Pomona, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Marcos, Santa Ana, Simi Valley, Slauson, Riverside and Victorville. Kiosks are also available at House 2 Home locations in Foothill Ranch, Murrieta, and Palm Desert.

Verizon Wireless' kiosks also offer the company's new Mobile Web service - personal wireless Internet access via mobile phones. Users can comparison shop, book airline flights, make restaurant reservations, receive daily horoscopes and keep up with favorite sports teams using Mobile Web. Customers can also sign up for Verizon Wireless' Digital Plus plans, offering wireless users anytime minutes free of roaming charges anywhere in Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.
