BELLEVUE, WA — Go ahead -- pick up the phone and call Canada -- it's simple, affordable and a new option now available to all Verizon Wireless national SingleRateSM customers. Beginning immediately, Verizon Wireless customers have the option of adding Canada to their national SingleRateSM plan for an additional monthly access fee of just $10 a month. Customers choosing the national SingleRateSM Canada plan will be able to use their monthly minutes allowance to call to and from Canada, and throughout Canada while traveling, without incurring long-distance or roaming charges.

"With our national SingleRateSM Canada plan, it's as easy to call Vancouver, B.C., as it is to call your next-door neighbor," said Kelley DeLaney, Region President for Verizon Wireless' Pacific Northwest Region. "The plan is a valuable option for customers who use their wireless phones to conduct business or stay in touch with friends or relatives in Canada. This is especially important to customers living in border-states such as Washington, New York, or Michigan who travel back and forth from Canada daily."

The new national SingleRateSM Canada plan also lets customers call the U.S. from all 10 Canadian provinces including such major cities as: Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Prince Albert, Quebec City, Stratford, Toronto, Victoria, Vancouver and Yarmouth.

The availability of enhanced features on all Verizon Wireless national SingleRateSM plans, including Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling, No Answer/Busy Transfer, Message Waiting Indicator, Caller ID and Basic Voicemail may vary while traveling in Canada.

Wireless consumers interested in subscribing to a Verizon Wireless national SingleRateSM plan with the Call Canada option, or in adding the option to their current SingleRateSM plan, should call 1-888-466-4646 or visit the Verizon Wireless web site at www.verizonwireless.com.
