BELLEVUE, WA — In a continuing effort to provide the best wireless service for local residents, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has announced that it has expanded its digital network in Sequim.

"The new cell site will provide area customers with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls across the region," said Gregg Clausius, Pacific Northwest Area Executive Director-Network for Verizon Wireless.

The site, located in downtown Sequim, provides improved digital coverage east on Highway 101 to Simdars Road; west on Highway 101 to River Road, south on 7th Avenue to East Silberhorn, and north on Sequim to Woodcock Road.

The Sequim cell site is part of the company's $51 million investment this year in Western Washington to improve its extensive, nationwide wireless network.
