ROCHESTER, NY — Verizon Wireless has expanded its digital wireless service in the West Seneca area with the addition of a new cell site. The new site is located near the Route 90 and Route 219 interchange and will provide improved digital wireless coverage to this high-traffic area.

According to Gene Fassett, executive director of network for Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York Region, the site will provide the wireless carrier's West Seneca-area subscribers and travelers with improved wireless coverage when making cellular calls across the region.

The new site is part of the $4 billion investment program this year to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $100 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the Upstate New York area.
