IRVINE, CA — In response to growing demand for Verizon Wireless communications products and services, the nation's largest wireless provider has opened a new retail store in Riverside. Located at the Magnolia Town Center, the store has created 13 new jobs. The company now owns and operates 11 Verizon Wireless Communications stores and kiosks throughout the Inland Empire that employ approximately 130 people.
"Wireless communications products and airtime are becoming more affordable everyday, especially with our new [FREEUP] wireless service," said Andy Villalpondo, manager for Verizon Wireless' new Riverside retail store. "Our pay-as-you-go wireless service option offers customers advantages similar to those of the company's contract calling plans, including two-way text messaging, 10-cent night and weekend rates, voice mail, call waiting, address finder, sports scores and more. As an added bonus, [FREEUP] customers benefit from no long distance charges and roaming fees throughout most of the company's national network."
Verizon Wireless retail stores offer a premier line of digital wireless phones, data products and hands-free calling accessories. Customers can check out the latest wireless Internet and two-way text messaging services, including MobileWeb, Mobile MessengerSM and Mobile Office. Verizon Wireless stores also offer a variety of phones in all price ranges, from the Motorola 2260 with changeable color phone covers ($39.99 - two-year service activation required) to the Verizon Wireless web-ready, Palm-powered Smartphone from Kyocera ($499.99 - one-year service activation required).
In addition, Verizon Wireless is currently offering customers 1,500 free night and weekend home airtime minutes per month with its local digital price plans, which start at $35 monthly access, with annual agreement.

Verizon Wireless also will celebrate the grand re-opening of the company's Rancho Cucamonga retail store on August 23. Rancho Cucamonga City Mayor Bill Alexander and members of the Chamber of Commerce will join representatives from Verizon Wireless at 5:30-6:30 p.m., at Verizon Wireless' Rancho Cucamonga store (10740 Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga) to help celebrate the grand re-opening. The event will include merchandise giveaways, and a 25 percent discount on all wireless accessories.
