DENVER, CO — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has expanded its digital network in Greeley, Ft. Collins and Estes Park, Colorado. Digital service delivers numerous benefits, including superior voice quality, longer battery life and enhanced privacy.
"These new cell sites provide area customers with greater digital coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Marni Walden, Mountain Region President for Verizon Wireless.
In Greeley, the sites expand digital coverage in several areas: downtown in the area of 10th Street and 35th Avenue; north on Interstate 25 to mile marker 252, east to Weld County Road 13, south to Interstate 25 mile marker 245 and west to Weld County Road 7; and north to 19th Street, east to Weld County Road 43, south to 31st Street and west to 11th Avenue.
Verizon Wireless has also expanded its digital service near Campion to include areas north to Via Real, east to Weld County Road, south to Highway 56 and west to Larimer County Road 17.
In Estes Park, digital coverage extends north on Dry Gulch Road to Little Beaver Drive, east on U S Highway 34 to Mall Road, south on Highway 7 to Peak View Drive, and west on U S Highway 34 to Valley Road.
In 2001, the company will invest $40 million in Colorado and $4 billion nationwide to improve its wireless network.
