Verizon Wireless Names New Network Executive Director For Mountain Region

DENVER, CO — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has named Wanda Oppenheim executive director-network system performance for its Mountain Region. In her new role, Oppenheim is responsible for the performance of the company's network operations in Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming, including performance, design, optimization of the network, network engineering and administration of the wireless voice and data systems. Oppenheim will lead the Mountain Region network team in executing more than $100 million in network improvements.

A 10-year veteran of the wireless industry, Oppenheim has held network engineer positions with Verizon Wireless and U S WEST/AirTouch in Bellevue, Washington. She will work on of the Denver office.

Oppenheim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
