Verizon Wireless Opens State-of-the-Art Customer Service Center in Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA — Assembly Member Anthony Pescetti, Secretary of California Techonology, Trade & Commerce Lon Hatimiya, County Supervisor Don Nottoli joined executives of Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, today to celebrate the grand opening of the wireless company's state-of-the-art Customer Service Call Center in Rancho Cordova. The $24 million facility will bring more than 1,100 new jobs to the local economy. The Rancho Cordova center will serve Verizon Wireless customers in the 12 western states, including northern California and northern Nevada.

"Verizon Wireless' Worry Free Guarantee promises our customers that we will provide the best network and customer service support available in the wireless industry," said Glen Hori, Northern California/Nevada Region president for Verizon Wireless. "Our Rancho Cordova Call Center will help us deliver on that commitment."

The new center will utilize cutting edge technology that increases a representative's efficiency in serving customers. The new facility includes 1,200 uniquely designed workstations and 6 training rooms.

The 166,550 square foot buildings, located at 10734 International Drive, also includes a fitness center and dining room that offers on-site, reasonably priced meals to employees.
