NEW YORK, NY — In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new Communications Store at 1095 Avenue of the Americas. The new store is located on the ground floor of the Verizon Building, located on the corner of 42nd Street and 6th Avenue.

"Demand for our wireless services is growing, as more people take advantage of calling plans like SingleRateSM East, our popular Mobile Web services and [FREEUP], a prepaid wireless service designed for young adults," said Allyson Kasten, manager of the new store.

Store hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The new store is one of 20 new retail locations Verizon Wireless opened over the past 12 months in the New York Metro area to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. The new stores created more than 300 sales and customer service positions as well as business opportunities for local construction, architectural and real estate firms.
