BEDMINSTER, NJ — Moviso, LLC®, the leading provider of mobile media products and services in North America and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vivendi Universal Net USA and Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless network operator, today announced an alliance that provides Verizon Wireless subscribers with BREW™(Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™) enabled handsets access to stimulating mobile content from leading media and entertainment companies. Moviso announced last week its name change from Premium Wireless Services, Inc. to Moviso LLC.

Moviso and Verizon Wireless are the respective leaders in their markets of wireless communications and mobile media. Through Moviso, and currently on the 3035 BREW-enabled wireless phone by Kyocera, Verizon Wireless will offer thousands of varieties of popular mobile media content, including ringtones and theme songs.

Moviso owns the largest legal catalog of popular ringtones and media as a result of relationships with major music publishers and labels, such as Universal Music, Sony Music Entertainment and BMG.

"Our BREW customers are on the cutting edge and are looking for mobile media content that is compelling, useful and on top of key trends," said Jim Straight, vice president of Wireless Data & Internet Services for Verizon Wireless. "With Moviso's broad range of quality offerings, we are confident we're delivering the right product to those customers."

Moviso At Forefront of Exploding U.S. Growth in Mobile Media

The Moviso solution enables Verizon Wireless to capitalize on the growing wireless entertainment services segment by providing the Moviso Ringster™ application to Verizon Wireless' subscribers with a BREW wireless phone. Ringster allows subscribers with BREW-enabled handsets to preview and purchase compelling new ringtones. Moviso is driving demand for some of the most popular songs on mobile devices.

Subscribers can personalize their mobile phones with musical alerts from artists such as Moby, Blink-182, Sugar Ray and many others. In addition, they will have access to sports and television theme songs, movie soundtracks and special events such as holidays.

"Through this partnership with Verizon Wireless, Moviso is presented with a tremendous customer base to which it can market and deliver the largest catalog of mobile media on a reliable, nationwide network," said Robin D. Richards, CEO of Vivendi Universal Net USA, which owns Moviso LLC. "Our agreement is a prime example of Moviso's complete mobile media solution in which we can provide everything from mobile content to the technology necessary to implement it."

Verizon Wireless was the first U.S. wireless operator to allow consumers to download applications over the air with QUALCOMM's BREW platform. This industry-leading service is currently available in the San Diego market, with a national launch intended for late this spring. In just a few weeks since its availability in San Diego, Moviso's Ringster application is at the leading edge of these popular entertainment applications.
