BEDMINSTER, NJ and CARY, NC — Verizon Wireless today announced an extension of its agreement with Pinpoint Networks, Inc., a leading provider of software and services to global mobile operators. Through Pinpoint's Fuel Platform, Verizon Wireless now offers new and enhanced services to its Mobile Web by VZW with MSN customers.

With the Bookmarking feature, new Mobile Web customers can easily create and store folders containing links to their favorite wireless sites for quick repeat access. Building upon Pinpoint's powerful search engine, additional categories have been added to the Search & Directory feature, giving customers access to thousands of additional compelling wireless applications, content, and services.

"We are excited to broaden our relationship with Verizon Wireless. The Mobile Web deployment of Fuel demonstrates how Fuel's flexible platform enables our customers such as Verizon Wireless to deliver new and exciting services to their subscriber base across current and future content types," said Jud Bowman, president and CEO of Pinpoint. "Extending our relationship with Verizon Wireless is a reflection of Pinpoint's focus on understanding our customers and delivering solutions that meet their current and future needs."

In March 2001, Verizon Wireless selected Pinpoint to provide its Mobile Web subscribers with a wireless search engine and directory of wireless applications, which is a cornerstone of Pinpoint's Fuel Platform. Fuel provides a unified platform across content types, presenting customers with a consistent user experience. Leveraging the flexibility of the Fuel platform, Verizon Wireless also selected Pinpoint to provide the Search & Directory solution for smartphones, enabling Verizon Wireless subscribers using their Mobile Web Plus service the ability to easily search and navigate through a wide variety of available services, content and applications optimized for their wireless device. By the extension of this relationship, Verizon Wireless' new Mobile Web subscribers now have multiple options for how they can access information, content, and applications while they are on the go, and for a way to easily mark their favorite sites for continued and easy access.
