BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless customers in more than 300 cities from coast to coast can now receive one month access free to the Express NetworkSM - the fastest national high-speed wireless data network in the country* - when they sign a one- or two-year service agreement on the Express Network Unlimited plan between August 1 and September 30. With Verizon Wireless' new Get Started Package, customers get one month access free - a $99.99 value - and can take advantage of mail-in rebates on the latest equipment, for total savings of up to $149.99.

Being out of the office no longer means being out of the loop with the freedom and flexibility of Express Network offering wireless Internet connections. Companies and individuals who sign up now for Express Network not only save money, but also learn what other Express Network customers already know: It's about increased productivity when traveling; there are no worries about finding a phone jack or fears about missing an important email from a customer or not having access to important files. With average data transmission speeds between 40 and 60 kilobits per second (kbps) with bursts up to 144 kbps - customers will experience similar or better speeds to dialing in from their home PC.

Verizon Wireless Express Network customers save even more with several equipment options to help meet their needs - all of which have been field tested and refined to deliver a consistently high quality Express Network experience. The Verizon Wireless 2235 handset from Kyocera and the VX1 from LG are compact wireless phones that function as high-speed wireless modems when used by a customer with their laptop, and in conjunction with a Verizon Wireless Mobile Office connectivity kit, sold separately. Customers receive a $20 instant rebate on the Mobile Office connectivity kit. For customers who prefer to use a PC card in conjunction with their laptop or PDA, the AirCard 555 from Sierra Wireless comes with a $50 mail-in rebate when they sign up for a one- or two-year agreement.
