MOHEGAN LAKE, NY — In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new store at 1773 East Main Street in Mohegan Lake. The company also owns and operates local retail stores in White Plains at 455 Central Avenue and on the third floor of The Westchester Mall, as well as a kiosk in the Jefferson Valley Mall in Putnam County.
The new store is located in the Route 6 Shopping Plaza, between Charlie Brown's and CVS, across from Mohegan Lake Motors. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Demand for our wireless services continues to grow, as more people take advantage of national calling plans like America's Choice, our popular wireless data services like two-way text messaging and Express NetworkSM, and Family SharePlansSM which offer savings on additional lines for family members," said Store Manager Sy Mooddeen.
The Mohegan Lake Communications Store is one of 64 retail locations Verizon Wireless owns and operates in the New York Metro area to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. In addition to building out its retail operations, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $8 billion during the past two years to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network, the largest in the U.S. More than $300 million of that investment was used last year to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
