VALLEY STREAM, NY — Just in time for the holidays, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new store in the Green Acres Mall. The company also owns and operates retail locations in Nassau County at 335 North Broadway in Jericho, 5070 Sunrise Highway in Massapequa, 265 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Center, 49 Old Country Road in Westbury and in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City.
The new store is located on the mall's second floor next to Ladies Footlocker and The Children's Place. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Store hours will be extended for the holidays starting November 24, 2002.
"Demand for our wireless services continues to grow, as more people take advantage of national calling plans like America's ChoiceSM, our popular wireless data services like two-way text messaging and Express NetworkSM, and FamilyShare Plans which offer savings on additional lines for family members," said Store Manager Dan Feldman.
The Green Acres Mall Communications Store is one of 66 retail locations Verizon Wireless owns and operates in the New York Metro area to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. In addition to building out its retail operations, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $8 billion during the past two years to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network, the largest in the U.S. More than $300 million of that investment was used last year to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
