BEDMINSTER, NJ — BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has been honored as one of the 2002 InfoWorld 100, an award that exemplifies the best of IT. InfoWorld Media Group, the provider of in-depth analysis of enterprise technology and strategies, announced the recipients of its annual award, which recognizes the innovative use of technology by corporate IT organizations. Verizon Wireless, the only wireless service provider in the top 50, was selected for its e-procurement project to automate the process for hiring contract laborers. This project was led by Cheryl Rowden, director of IT for Verizon Wireless.
