BEDMINSTER, N.J., NEW YORK and SAN DIEGO — From the 2003 BREW Developers Conference, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider and a leader in mobile data, and Vindigo, one of the best-known developers and publishers of consumer information and entertainment applications for wireless devices, today unveiled MovieGoer, a convenient and comprehensive movie guide for wireless phones. Verizon Wireless customers with Get It NowSM-capable phones can download the guide over the air to look up movie information including show times, reviews and even directions to the nearest theater.

The first Get It Now application of its kind, MovieGoer is a comprehensive source for movie enthusiasts, including a search function that lets customers search for movies by name, genre, or nearest theater throughout the United States. MovieGoer offers reviews and ratings from top critics, movie synopses, show times, and theater information, complete with full-color maps. Verizon Wireless customers can also view full-color movie posters on their phone screen.

In conjunction with this announcement, Vindigo announced the launch of its new publishing arm, Vindigo Studios. Building on the success of its flagship product, Vindigo 2.0, and leveraging its suite of proprietary technologies, Vindigo Studios works with leading content partners to design, develop, and distribute compelling consumer information and entertainment applications for wireless phones.
