Verizon Wireless Names John Pappas As Director Of Business Sales For Desert Mountain Region

PHOENIX, AZ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, has named John Pappas to serve as director of business sales for the company's Desert Mountain Region. In his new position, Pappas will lead, plan and direct sales of wireless communications and data products and services to businesses throughout Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, southern Utah, southeastern Wyoming, Las Vegas, Nev. and El Paso, Texas.
“With more than twenty years of business-to-business sales experience, John is assuming his new position at an opportune time,” said Desert Mountain Region President Tami Erwin. “Our Express NetworkSM provides high-speed data service in more than 1,000 cities throughout the nation. We also recently launched service on the BlackBerry 6750TM, an always-on wireless email solution. John’s knowledge of these and other business-to-business solutions will provide a high-level of service to both our business customers and to our enterprise sales force throughout the region.”
Pappas joined Verizon Wireless from Enfora, a wireless data access device manufacturer, where he served as the senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. His career also includes serving as sales vice president, mobility solutions and region sales director for AT&T Wireless.
Pappas earned a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Economics from Westminster College. He is a member of the Arizona Diabetes Association, serves on the Technology Board of I-Control Inc. and is a past member of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
