ROCHESTER, NY — Verizon Wireless has opened a new kiosk in the Newburgh Mall on Union Avenue.
"This expansion represents our commitment to provide our customers with increased convenience and an accessible, knowledgeable sales staff," said Keith Slater, director of Communication Stores for Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York region, who noted the store will employ five people.
The Newburgh Mall kiosk is open during regular mall hours Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The grand opening brings the total number of retail locations in Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York Region to 45 stores, more company-owned stores than any other Upstate New York wireless carrier. Verizon Wireless has more than 1,200 stores and kiosks nationwide.
