BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless reports that its nationwide network is operating, with some of its cell sites and switches in the power-affected areas on emergency generators. However, the company is experiencing heavier than normal call volumes due to extremely high demand. If customers are having trouble getting through, they should wait several minutes before attempting to redial their call.
