SAN MATEO, CA — Ever wonder what it's like to be Yao Ming or shoot hoops like a dominant center? Now's your chance with Yao Ming Basketball '04 presented by FOX SportsTM. This two-on-two mobile basketball match-up lets you play either as Yao Ming or against Yao Ming. Shoot the three-point shot or pass the ball into the post for board-shattering slam dunks. After playing offense, apply an all-world defense with deflections and in-your-face blocks. Come ready to play because, as in professional basketball, Yao Ming is the fastest, tallest and best player on the court.

"FOX Sports and Sorrent have set the standard in mobile sports games," said Ray Taylor, director of product development of wireless Internet and multimedia services for Verizon Wireless. "Our subscribers will find themselves yelling, and even cheering, at the phone."

Yao Ming Basketball is currently the number one mobile game in Greater China, where Sorrent and Yao Ming launched the game exclusively for BREW-enabled phones through China Unicom in July. In an expanded licensing deal with both FOX Sports Interactive Media and Yao Ming, Sorrent now has exclusive rights to publish Yao Ming Basketball Presented by FOX Sports on mobile carriers around the world.

"Teaming up with one of the most exciting players in the NBA is something that FOX Sports Interactive Media is very proud of," said John Smelzer, vice president of business development for FOX Sports Interactive Media. "The opportunity to unite with Yao around Sorrent's unrivaled wireless basketball game is an instant winner."

Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications.
