Verizon Wireless and Square Enix Team Up to Deliver Innovative Games for Gamers On-The-Go

BEDMINSTER, NJ and LOS ANGELES, CA — Square Enix U.S.A., Inc. ("Square Enix U.S.A."), the publisher of Square Enix™ interactive entertainment products in North America, and Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest and most reliable wireless service provider, today announced they will launch a range of wireless games on Verizon Wireless' Get It NowSM service. Best known for the world-renowned FINAL FANTASY video game series and marking its entry into the mobile gaming market in North America, Square Enix is committed to bringing new and exciting games to the growing mobile gaming audience. The first of its games, Brave Shot™, is available starting today and other games will be announced at a later date.

Brave Shot is a full-color, vertical scrolling shooter game for Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service. The game will be available for download and purchase on select Get It Now-enabled Verizon Wireless phones. Reminiscent of the classic arcade shooters, Brave Shot allows the player to choose from two different types of cannons as well as a limited supply of smart bombs. Simple gameplay combined with great graphics and huge boss battles make this the ultimate pick-up-and-play experience.

Brave Shot is the first game developed by Square Enix that is released first in the U.S. Get It Now customers can purchase Brave Shot starting today for $1.99 monthly access or $4.99 for unlimited use purchase. Download charges for the Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications.
