BRANDYWINE, DE — Verizon Wireless has named Thomas Mellor manager of its retail location in Brandywine. In his new position, Mellor will be responsible for customer service, retail sales and employee training.
Previously, Mellor was the store's assistant manager and helped management with merchandising, customer service and supervision of the sales staff. Prior to that, Mellor was a sales representative at the Verizon Wireless store on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington where he earned recognition as a top retail sales representative in the Philadelphia Tri-State region. In 1999, Mellor was the recipient of the President's Cabinet Award for Sales Excellence an internal award that recognizes the top sales performers. In addition, Mellor was named Top Manager for sales in 2002. A New Castle County resident, Mellor has been employed by Verizon Wireless for six years.
