BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, has made it easier for customers to keep track of their account balance and payment history in between billing statements. By dialing #BAL from their wireless phone, wireless customers can now hear details of their last five payment transactions, including the dates payments were received and the total balance paid.

To access payment history, Verizon Wireless customers can simply dial #BAL (225) from their wireless phone or 800-922-0204 from any phone. A TXT Message with current balance information and last payment details, including the amount paid and the date the payment was received, will automatically be sent to the customer's wireless phone. Customers then have the option of disconnecting the call or following the prompts to hear additional payment details — and can even make a payment from their phone.

Customers can also access information about minutes used and minutes currently available from the #BAL menu at any time or can contact a Verizon Wireless customer care representative to discuss their billing or payment information by calling, toll-free, *611 from their Verizon Wireless handset, or 1-800-2 JOIN IN, from any phone.

"Our customers want the ability to manage their accounts whether they are on vacation, on a business trip or at home enjoying time with their families," said Pat Decker, vice president, customer services. "The #BAL service gives Verizon Wireless customers instant access to important account information and payment options that they can access whenever it is convenient for them."

Verizon Wireless customers can use #BAL to access their payment records 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The call is toll and airtime free. For more information, visit www.verizonwireless.com.
