BEDMINSTER, NJ — For the fourth consecutive year, Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, was named one of Working Mother magazine's "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers." The company was the only wireless company to receive the honor again this year. The annual list recognizes corporations that offer programs and services that fulfill the needs of working mothers.

Verizon Wireless received this honor because of its continued attention to health and wellness programs and for providing an accommodating working environment for women, the magazine said in its October issue.

"At Verizon Wireless, we recognize that the success of our business lies not only in the strength of our network, but in our vast network of employees, whose hard work has helped build the award-winning company we are today. It is only fitting that we do all we can to provide employees — whether at headquarters, in a Communications Store or in the field — with benefits that promote wellness, options for a healthy work-life balance and optimal conditions for a positive work experience," said Martha Delehanty, vice president of human resources for Verizon Wireless. "We appreciate the continued recognition from Working Mother for our focus on creating the best working environment possible for our employees."
