Verizon Wireless Opens New Store in Wenatchee, Washington

WENATCHEE, WA — In a continuing effort to provide the latest wireless products and services at convenient, accessible locations, Verizon Wireless has opened its first retail store in Wenatchee, Washington. Located at 1304 North Miller Avenue, Suite E, local residents can now explore voice and data solutions in a new spacious environment in their own community. Verizon Wireless owns and operates 30 retail locations in the state.

"During the last two years we have invested more than $148 million in our wireless network in Washington, enhancing its reach and its voice and data capabilities," said Kelley Kurtzman, regional president, Verizon Wireless. "This effort, combined with the opening of our latest new store in Wenatchee, makes it easier for residents to benefit from Verizon Wireless' expansive network and wide variety of service plans, with choices to fit any lifestyle and income." Wireless usage on Verizon Wireless' network in Washington increased more than 30 percent in 2003 over 2002.

Verizon Wireless will celebrate the store's grand opening on September 24, 2004, with an array of activities, including a Hydroplane display with drivers (see below) and the presentation of a $1,000 Verizon Wireless HopeLine^SM grant to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Crisis Center in Wenatchee, in keeping with Verizon Wireless' long-standing commitment to domestic violence awareness and prevention through its HopeLine program. Verizon Wireless will also offer the Samsung SCH-a670 camera phone for only $49.99 from September 24 through October 8, 2004 (requires new 2-year agreement).
