DULLES, VA and BEDMINSTER, NJ — America Online, Inc., the world's leading interactive services company, and Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, today announced the availability of AOL® Mail on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now® service. AOL members can now take their AOL Mail with them to easily stay connected with friends, family and colleagues for just 99 cents per month as part of the introductory offering.

AOL Mail is available in the Get It Now virtual store and gives AOL members complete, on-the-go access to their e-mail, allowing them to fully enjoy the advantages of e-mail communication beyond the boundaries of desktop computers. More and more, mobile device users want access to their familiar AOL® content and services from their wireless phones, including the AOL Mail service. By working closely with partners, AOL is providing value-added services to wireless customers in a convenient and cost-effective way.

With mobile AOL Mail on Verizon Wireless Get It Now-enabled phones, AOL members have an affordable and graphically rich email experience. AOL's partner, Tourmaline Networks, Inc., a leading supplier of wireless email, developed the AOL-branded email service available on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service.

Pricing and Availability

Mobile AOL Mail is now available to Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers with select Get It Now-enabled wireless phones, including the Kyocera Slider SE47 and LG Electronics' VX4600 and VX6000 models. For a limited time, AOL Mail service is available at an introductory price of 99 cents per month. To sign up for AOL Mail:

  1. Select Get It Now from the phone's main menu.
  2. Select the Shopping Cart icon.
  3. Select Get MESSAGING.
  4. Select AOL Mail.

The Get It Now virtual store offers customers 500 applications that are easy to use, including games, ringtones, productivity applications and more. Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications. Customers need a Get It Now-enabled handset and Verizon Wireless digital service to access the Get It Now virtual store.

Verizon Wireless products and services are available in more than 1,200 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, at participating Best Buy, Circuit City and RadioShack locations and on the Web at www.verizonwireless.com.
