WILMINGTON, NC — Verizon Wireless, the leading wireless provider in the United States, today announced the appointment of local human resources professional Tracey Jackson, PHR, to the position of manager, Human Resources - Field Operations, for its state-of-the-art call center in Wilmington, North Carolina. In this role, Jackson is overseeing the Human Resources operation, which includes the recruitment and hiring efforts for the call center. The center is expected to grow to approximately 1200 employees in 2005.

Jackson, a longtime resident of Wilmington and native of nearby Brunswick County, is the most senior Human Resources professional at the Wilmington call center and has been closely involved in the center's staffing efforts.

Jackson received a B.A. in Human Services from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jackson brings to the company more than 13 years of Human Resources experience with a variety of organizations including the City of Wilmington, Cornelia Davis Healthcare Center, and aaiPharma.
