"Customer demand for new and exciting wireless applications is rapidly growing and Verizon Wireless continuously provides our customers with targeted content relevant to their lives by joining with top tier content providers," said Jim Straight, vice president of data & multimedia services for Verizon Wireless. "We are excited to work with Enpocket to deliver new services that are sure to please subscribers looking for more entertainment and resources at their fingertips."

"The impetus for mobile content delivery initially came from brands looking to take advantage of this new medium. But the success of these services truly comes from consumers themselves realizing the benefits and convenience of mobile content services," said Peter Larsen, chief executive officer of Enpocket. "We're proud to work with Verizon Wireless, who continues to prove their leadership in wireless content delivery."

Mobile Web 2.0 can be self provisioned, eliminating the need for customers to call customer service or visit a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to sign up for the service. Customers simply register for Mobile Web 2.0 on their Mobile Web 2.0-capable handset and get access to information and content right from their wireless handsets. Mobile Web 2.0 is available for $4.99 monthly access, plus airtime.
