BEDMINSTER, NJ — The holidays can be stressful — planning holiday meals, finding directions to the season's festivities and writing out holiday cards are just a few of the chores that can dampen spirits. This year, Verizon Wireless customers with select Get It Now®-enabled phones can tackle their holiday tasks quickly and easily, leaving more time to enjoy the season.

For reluctant chefs in charge of the holiday meal, Food Network Cook Express, produced by Airborne Entertainment in conjunction with FoodNetwork.com, is an easy-to-use mobile application containing high-quality recipes and helpful tips from some of the Food Network's most celebrated chefs. Customers can search by category or key ingredient, and scroll through an extensive list of the Food Network's recipes and can send their holiday recipe of choice to any e-mail inbox while on the go. Each entry contains a full recipe, a list of ingredients, directions, cooking time and preparation time. Food Network Cook Express is available for $3.75 monthly access in the getFUN & getGAMES shopping aisle.

When indulging in holiday treats, don't get stressed about staying in shape. Available in the getGOING shopping aisle, Portable Pilates by Mobile-Mind, Inc. provides animations along with step-by-step illustrations of Pilates movements to help customers stretch core muscles and increase flexibility. Once customers have mastered the movements, they can schedule workouts, maintain a log to keep track of what has been done and set future goals. Portable Pilates is available on select Get It Now-enabled phones for $4.99 unlimited purchase.

Holiday travel plans have never been easier with Verizon SuperPages On the Go. Before hitting the road, travelers can access maps, driving directions and nationwide white and yellow pages. For customers looking for post-holiday activities, Verizon SuperPages On the Go also offers movie reviews and weather forecasts, Zagat survey restaurant ratings and reviews and Mobil Travel Guide hotel reviews. Verizon SuperPages On the Go is available in the getGOING shopping aisle for just $1.25 for a one-day purchase or $2.49 monthly access.

Don't worry if the holiday cards haven't been sent out yet. This year, customers can visit the getFUN & getGAMES shopping aisle to e-mail friends and family personalized holiday greeting cards — right from their phones. Using FunCaster Greetings from Summus Inc. (OTCBB: SUMU), customers can browse seven different categories of electronic greeting cards to find the perfect way to say happy holidays to everyone on their holiday list. FunCaster Greetings is $1.25 for five-use purchase, $1.99 for ten-use purchase or $3.25 for 20-use purchase on select Get It Now-enabled phones.

Not sure how to spread the holiday cheer? Visit the getTONES shopping aisle to select a holiday classic for your phone's ring tone. Modtones from Faith West Inc. offers thousands of ring tones, including holiday favorites, so customers can let everyone know they are ready to "Deck the Halls" or do the "Jingle Bell Rock."

Customers can also tell anyone on their shopping list to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by giving them the gift of Modtones polyphonic ring tones and wallpaper. Shoppers can send Modtones ring tones right from select Get It Now-enabled phones by selecting any ring tone or wallpaper from the Modtones application, choosing "Send as Gift" from the menu and entering the mobile number of the person receiving the ring tone. Recipients will receive a TXT message letting them know about their Modtones gift and directing them to the Modtones Gift Center on their handset to retrieve it. Modtones gifting is currently available from Verizon Wireless on the following phones: Audiovox CDM 8600, CDM 8900, CDM 8910, CDM 9900; Kyocera KX414, SE47 and KX1; LG VX4500, VX4600, VX6000, VX6100; Motorola C343 and T720; Nokia 3589; and Samsung a610, a650, a670, a690 and a790.

The Get It Now virtual store offers a catalog of 500 applications that are easy to use, including games, ring tones, productivity applications and more. Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications. Customers need a Get It Now-enabled handset and Verizon Wireless digital service to access the Get It Now virtual store.
