BURBANK, CA and BEDMINSTER, NJ — ABC Television and Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, announced the availability of ABC Primetime, Daytime and Late-Night short content on Verizon Wireless' new V CAST 3G wireless broadband multimedia service.

With ABC Television short content on V CAST, Verizon Wireless customers have access to a host of ABC video clip content from ABC's Primetime, Daytime and Late-Night programming, including the number one new show of the year, "Desperate Housewives." Content such as show recaps, sneak peeks and talent interviews can be expected from "Desperate Housewives" and other ABC hit shows like "Lost" and "Alias." Extended short content, contestant audition tapes, commentary by makeover specialists may also be available from ABC reality shows "Extreme Makeover" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." "America's Funniest Home Videos" will keep customers laughing with an ongoing supply of home video clips. A daily "Soap 411" recap and teaser will be available for ABC's Daytime soaps "One Life to Live," "All My Children" and "General Hospital." Late night's Jimmy Kimmel will provide customers with a daily dose of comical bits from the previous night's show, and throughout the year video clips from such major events as the 77th Annual Academy Awards will also be available. V CAST customers can find ABC programming in the Entertainment category in the V CAST Showcase channel under TV Time.

V CAST from Verizon Wireless is the first true 3G wireless broadband consumer multimedia service in the country, allowing customers to view crystal clear video clips on demand and graphics for 3D games because it runs on Verizon Wireless' Evolution Data Optimized (EV-DO) network — the only widely available wide-area wireless broadband network in the United States. V CAST is the first wireless service to offer ABC video content. It is available in more than 30 major metropolitan markets and covers more than 75 million people.
