Verizon Wireless Names Linda Broderick As Wallingford, Connecticut Contact Center Director

WALLINGFORD, CT — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has named Linda Broderick as Director of the Wallingford Contact Center.

In her new position Broderick is responsible for overseeing a staff of more than 600 including the customer service representatives who handle calls, questions and transactions like phone upgrades and contract renewals from customers throughout the Northeast from Maine through Virginia.

Linda was part of the national management team that helped Verizon Wireless advanced their Caller Satisfaction grade to an "A" in Vocal Laboratories' most recent quarterly SectorPulse report, which measures the quality of customer care. Data in the report was gathered between July and September 2004.

Prior to her promotion to Director, Linda served for three years as an Associate Director in the Wallingford Center and seven years with GTE Wireless, a company with which Verizon Wireless merged in 2000. She joined the combined company in 1994 as a Sales Associate, and progressed through a number of roles, including assignments in Resource Management, Employee Development, Training and Business Support. Before that she was a Major Accounts Representative with Southern New England Telephone for 10 years.

Linda has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management. She was inducted into Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society in 2004 and is currently enrolled in an MBA program at Capella University.
