SAN DIEGO and BEDMINSTER, NJ — This year, there is no need to break out the waders or apply for a fishing license. Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, and Dwango Wireless, a leading developer and publisher of wireless lifestyle applications, remind customers they can play in multi-day fishing tournaments with the same stakes found in the great outdoors with ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers. Verizon Wireless customers with select Get It Now®-enabled phones can download ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers to enjoy all of the challenges of fishing — unpredictable weather conditions, different lures and fast acting fish — without ever getting wet.

ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers allows Get It Now customers to leave their tackle at home and get hooked on playing in nine of the best bass fishing lakes across the United States. Cast a line, set the hook and try to catch 13 species, including nine species of infamously large bass, or the "legendary lunkers," all without having to dig for bait. But it's not always blue skies and sunshine when playing ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers — each time a player gears up, the game checks the National Weather Service and recreates conditions for the selected lake.

Fishing champs can stake their place in history by having their largest catch saved on the legendary trophy wall. Friends can compete via the online leader board and reel 'em in with two playing modes: recreation mode allows players to sit back and relax on a lazy summer day, while tournament mode provides Get It Now customers with their own mobile fishing tournament. If gamers only have time to test the waters for a few minutes, ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers' "Cast-n-Wait" mode lets players exit the game and alerts them when a fish bites.

ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers has been selected for two upcoming awards — as a finalist for the Mobile Game Award from the Mobile Entertainment Forum and as Best Sports Game from GameSpot Mobile and Wireless Gaming Review's Wireless Gaming Awards.

ESPN Bassmaster: Legendary Lunkers is located in the getGAMES shopping aisle of the Get It Now virtual store and available for $2.99 monthly access. Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications. Customers need a Get It Now-enabled handset and Verizon Wireless digital service to access the Get It Now virtual store.

Fishing fans can download and play ESPN Bassmaster on a wide variety of Get It Now-enabled phones, including the UTStarcom (Audiovox) CDM-8910 and CDM-8940; Kyocera KX2; LG VX4500, VX4700, VX6100, VX7000, VX8000; Samsung SCH-a650, SCH-a890. From now through June 19, 2005, Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers can purchase the LG VX6100 camera phone for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year customer agreement, the perfect phone for capturing shots of real-life fishing expeditions.
