Verizon Wireless Customers Can Stay Updated And Informed While Away From Home This Summer

Customers Can Manage Their Wireless Accounts While On the Road

BEDMINSTER, NJ — It's that time of year again - summer getaways, trips to the beach, July 4th celebrations and catching up with family and friends. Whatever the travel plans are this summer, Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network for voice calls, reminds customers of the many ways they can manage their wireless accounts when hitting the road to enjoy some fun in the sun.

By dialing #BAL (225) from their wireless phone or 800-922-0204 from any phone, Verizon Wireless customers can hear details of their last five payment transactions, including the dates payments were received and the total balance paid. A TXT Message with current balance information and last payment details, including the amount paid and the date the payment was received, will automatically be sent to the customer's wireless phone. Talkative travelers can also access information about minutes used and minutes currently available from the #BAL menu at any time.

Sending TXT Messages is a great way to share vacation stories or check in with friends and family back home. Verizon Wireless text-happy customers looking to keep a tally of their TXT Messages can do so right from their wireless phones. By dialing #DATA (#3282) from their phones, customers can find out the number of TXT Messages that have been sent and received during the current monthly billing period. Once connected, the customer will hear up-to-the-minute details about all domestic and international TXT Messages sent and received since the beginning of the billing cycle. All customers will also receive a free TXT Message with usage information included.

Verizon Wireless customers can access #BAL and #DATA at no extra cost 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The call is toll and airtime free.

Before hitting the road, new and existing My Account and My Account in Spanish ("Mi Cuenta") customers with TXT Messaging-capable phones can also set up personalized alerts to notify them of specific account and billing activity by simply logging on to My Account (www.verizonwireless.com/myaccount), and clicking on the "Email & TXT Alerts" page under the Profile tab. They may choose from TXT Alerts in three different categories — Bill Ready, Payment Confirmation and Change Features.
